David Mack interview :)

'With comics, my real introduction of storytelling came when I read a friend's Daredevil when I was nine years old. It was a Frank Miller issue and it had quite an effect on me. I remember realizing how the writer was using so many visual techniques to set the mood and pacing of the story.'-Mack

'I should mention that I'm working on a new Daredevil series right now in which I am thrilled to collaborate with some of the creators that inspired me as a kid. It is called Daredevil: End of Days. I'm co-writing it with Brian Michael Bendis, and we are working with Klaus Jansen and Bill Sienkiewicz who are doing the art for it. Alex Maleev is doing the covers, and Brian and I are thrilled to be writing this as our love letter to Daredevil with such incredible artists that have dedicated large chunks of their careers to building the history of this character.'-Mack

Artist Paolo Rivera created a 1940s style Captain America: The First Avenger poster for the cast and crew. Such an amazing poster and went so well with the retro feel for the film.

Flaneurism...

Using my Reportage work to lead me to Starbucks :D I tried the creme brulee macchiato. It was fit! Coffee placess are ace for inspiration.

Cracking on with my reportage project which has lead me to flaneurism. Been getting on whichever train pulls in at the station without much thought to where ever I end up. It does say 'any route' on my season ticket :)

Assassin's Creed Revelations!

The Book Illustration competition: The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories by Angela Carter

Going to have a go at this. I love The Bloody Chamber book and the way she changes fairytales darker, makes a change from the normal soft fairytale versions because originally fairytales were horror stories. It will be ace to illustrate the cover. There's a few versions of the book cover I've found. The cover of the version I have at home is a crimson colour with a blurry image of a a red flower overlapping a faint image of a girl

Animated Dexter

The animated Dexter series done by my ultimate favourite comic illustrators David Mack and Bill Sienkiewicz XD plus it's Dexter!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be illustrating everything like my journeys, view points, people, work, achitecture, animals, scenery, organic objects, found objects, etc. It's going sound so far. I've been documenting people like at the train stations and in the library. It can get awkward when people eye ball ya :/ ah well! Images will be up soon but I have to wait until my camera comes back from repair :( it's like losing a limb

Family illustrations

A project I really enjoyed and based it on certain people, friends and pets who I consider my real family past and present. I collected old photographs, drew from life and images on to envelopes, scrap paper, note paper, acetate with pens, tipex, inks, watercolour, oil pastels and pencils. I pinned and clipped the individual illustrations to two long pieces of string on a board with little found objects I discovered while gathering research for this project such as old bits of jewellery, beads, buttons, clips, bows, shells, brooches.
